Ritchie Hill Fall Wedding | Taylor & Brett

Ritchie Hill is the perfect venue for this fall wedding! Taylor & Brett met at Appalachian State and started off as friends. After hanging out all the time, the rest was history! They picked Ritchie Hill for their wedding for their big family in Charlotte. “They have great accommodations for our grandparents who can’t walk upstairs,” Taylor and Brett said. The biggest goal for them was to have all their family and friends party the night away! Split Second Sound brought the kickass party and Joy’s Catering had some delicious food and drinks. All the small details were done by Becky Pierce with Hillside Florist! The day wouldn’t have gone so smoothly without her.

First looks are highly recommended when the sun sets early! Their ceremony started at 6pm and so did the sunset. First Looks allow all the photos of the bridal party and you two before the ceremony!

Their wedding day brought rain, but Ritchie Hill had the perfect backup plan for this fall wedding! The string lights, florals, fountain, and Porte was the perfect backdrop for this romantic scene and kept everyone dry!

Taylor & Brett are super close with their App State family! Taking a moment for a group photo is the perfect way to show your college pride.

To add a touch of Boone in their wedding, they had Appalachian Cookie Co as one of their desserts! If you haven’t tried them, there is a location in Charlotte. My favorite is the Cheesecake cookies!

One of the best tips I can give my couples is to have some time for photos at night. This only takes about 10 – 12 minutes! You can take a moment after photos to soak in your day with just the two of you.
