1. South End
The best spot for some fun color and architecture PLUS BEER for your engagement session in Charlotte! There is so much to photograph with the bars, lights, the Charlotte skyline, even some bikes or scooters! South End is super close to other parks, Noda, and Plaza Midwood. This makes it super easy to have two locations in one session!
2. Uptown
Uptown Charlotte is definitely the most popular for engagement photos! Things like the Mint Museum, Romare Bearden Park, Fuel Pizza, and some rooftop bars are all SUCH great options and still stands out from all your friend’s photos! Be sure your photographer is following rule and regulations so you don’t get kicked off.
3. Any Park!
Not the ones that are super busy. Parks like Freedom Park get way too crowded for photos! Little parks are the best for us charlotte photographers so we don’t have to photoshop out 15 people in every photo. Some great ones are Sugar Creek Greenway, Frank Lisk Park, and Historic Latta Plantation!
4. Your Wedding Venue!
This is an amazing opportunity to show your photographer around the Venue, regardless if you are getting married in Charlotte or not! You have already paid to use the venue. Why not get your money’s worth?! Walking around before your wedding will you both super excited and in the mood to snuggle during photos. Plus, you can bring your dogs ALWAYS!
5. THE MOUNTAINS!
THE BEST part of being in Charlotte is being a 2-hour drive from the mountains! Asheville or Boone are so easy to drive there and back. THIS is what will make your photos stand out the most! There is always hiking involved, but bringing a change of shoes and clothes in a backpack will help you! Who doesn’t LOVE mountain views like this one in fall?!
